The Security BookA peer-reviewed scientific work specialized in a single topic or aspect of a topic in the security field. It should comprise chapters with an introduction and a conclusion and is authored by one or more authors. The security book is considered an integrated unit regardless of the number of its parts and published in the Arabic and English languages. The Security Book is issued by the Security Research Center and published by Naif University Publishing House.
Publishing Terms and ConditionsThe Security Research Center welcomes authentic works submitted by academics, researchers, and experts in the security and relevant fields in accordance with the following terms and conditions:
Book Preparation The following guidelines are integrated with the standard requirements for submitted security books forms at Naif Arab University for Security Sciences. These guidelines aim to assist authors to prepare their scientific material to meet the specific requirements set by the Security Research Center whereby their work runs smoothly through the publishing process steps. Content Usage Restrictions Security books are non-free publications and are subject to fees. It is not permissible to modify, publish, reproduce, transmit, translate, or create works derived from others, sell, rent or license the content of the security books website, wholly or in part, by any means and for any person, unless formal approvals are taken from the authorized person.
CopyrightsIn the event the book is accepted for publishing, the author(s) should sign The Copyright Statement.
Publishing Policy The copyrights shall be granted to the author under contract signed between the author and the university.
Ethical Standards If the book includes a human element in experiments or questionnaires, it must be indicated that procedures have been followed in accordance with the standards of the Standing Committee for Scientific Research Ethics at Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, or in accordance with the standards of the Committee for Scientific Research Ethics at the institution to which the author belongs, in accordance with the amended Declaration of Helsinki 1983. The personal information of the human subject should not be disclosed at all. Every effort must be made to protect the identities of the human subjects and their families. In the event the book includes experiments on animals, it must be clarified whether the author's institution pursues an animal care and use policy. In addition, required ethical approvals should be obtained. The Security Research Center is committed to follow and maintain the highest standards of research and publishing ethics, international guidelines, and procedures and policies, such as those issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Office of Research Integrity (ORI), when dealing with any case of suspected ethical misconduct. If necessary, the Center may exchange relevant information with other concerned parties (e.g., authors' institutions). All information is treated seriously, confidentially, realistically and without haste. The Center reserves the right to pursue cases of ethical misconduct.
Privacy PolicyThe privacy policy sets out the procedures for collecting, storing, processing, protecting, using, and sharing the personal information of the persons concerned and involved in the publishing processes in a manner that respects the privacy and mutual trust between the publishers and the persons concerned and involved in all stages of the publishing processes. All procedures and measures are subject to applicable laws and regulations in the headquarters state, including policies, governance mechanisms, frameworks, standards, controls, and guidelines related to the privacy policy and its updates.
