Guide for Authors for the Security Booklet

The Security Booklet
The Security Booklet aims to disseminate and simplify security culture for the general public, combining facts, analyses, and new insights to make security sciences easily readable and understandable.

Application Guidelines
 

  1. The author of the booklet should be affiliated with Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.
  2. The topic of the booklet should be within the field of security sciences.
  3. Author should avoid complex and compound scientific language, while adhering to scientific facts and presenting them in a simple and straightforward manner.
  4. The booklet should not have been published previously, either partially or in its entirety.
  5. The contract between the University and the author will specify intellectual property and publishing rights.
  6. The author must follow the booklet preparation guidelines provided in the following :
    1. The word count should not exceed 10,000 words, including the introduction and conclusion.
    2. The front cover page should include:
      1. The booklet title in both Arabic and English.
      2. The author's full name in both languages.
      3. The author's academic affiliation (department, college, university, country) in both languages.
      4. The author's email and mobile phone number.
    3. The back cover page should include a brief description of the booklet (at least 100 words) directed at the reader and promoting the booklet.
    4. Table of Contents: Includes the topics covered in the booklet.
    5. Introduction: Contains a foreword addressed to the reader and a brief background on the topic.
    6. Booklet Content: The author should focus on a single idea or specific topic, presenting key elements that do not exceed ten in number, with numbering (1, 2, 3, 4, ...). The booklet should not be divided into chapters or sections.
    7. The author must adhere to scientific research ethics, intellectual property rights, and publishing rights specified in the contract concluded between the University and the author.
    8. The security booklet should be a concise, shorter, and more condensed version compared to the security book, but without compromising reliability.
