موجز

تناولت هذه الدراسة مشكلة أن جزءًا كبيرًا من حوادث المرور على الطُّرُق تقع بمشاركة سائقي الشاحنات، وتُعْزَى هذه الحوادث إلى الإجهاد، وأن أحد الأسباب هو أن قيادة الشاحنة والراحة تشغلان أوقاتًا دون المستوى الأمثل بسبب الحاجة إلى عمليات النقل على مدار الساعة؛ ولذلك فإن عدم التوازن الناتج يكون سببًا في الإجهاد أثناء العمل خلال المرحلة الزمنية اليومية، التي يتم فيها تقليل التمثيل الغذائي للجسم (ليلًا)، ووقت الاستيقاظ الطويل نتيجة لإضافة ساعات العمل الليلي إلى فترة الاستيقاظ الطبيعية نسبيًّا، وتقصير فترات النوم أثناء النهار بسبب النشاط اليومي الذي يحدُّ من أوقات الراحة خلال اليوم، وأهمية الالتزام بالمواعيد المحددة من قِبَل الشركات لإجراءات التسليم والتَّسَلُّم في الوقت المحدد بسبب الطلبات المتكررة بالالتزام بوقت التسليم.
وبناءً على نتائج الدراسة، تمت بلورة العديد من التوصيات، لعل أهمها؛ ضرورة التركيز على جهود الوقاية الأولية، كتوعية السائقين بأهمية الحصول على قسطٍ كافٍ من النوم قبل القيادة، واللجوء الاستباقي للقيلولة لتقليل ساعات اليقظة قبل بدء قيادة المركبة، وتجنب كل ما يؤدي إلى انخفاض مستوى الأداء اليومي عند التخطيط للرحلات من المنشأ إلى الوجهة المراد الوصول إليها. وأنه على جميع الجهات المَعْنِيَّة باستخدام الشاحنات في منظومة النقل تَبَنِّي الشراكة في المسؤولية من خلال تبني حزمة سياسات تنص على أنه لا يجوز للسائقين قيادة الشاحنة عند الشعور بالإجهاد الذي يؤثر سلبًا في قدرتهم على قيادة الشاحنة بأمان. وضرورة أن تكون إدارة الإجهاد مسؤولية مشتركة بين الشركة والسائق؛ فالشركة مسؤولة عن إعلام السائقين بكيفية تحديد حالات الإجهاد واليقظة والوسائل المناسبة لمعالجة هذه المشكلة.
